I just noticed that the threads here tend to be a lot longer than over at 6ch. Any thoughts as to why that is, VIPPERs?

Because stuff like this would go in the ("Bump this Thread every time you visit for the FIRST TIME today! [Part %d]", cur_part) thread instead of a new one.

This is an Area of QUALITY, and there are fewer QUALITY topics than topics in general.
Given the same amount of activity as a non-QUALITY board, yet fewer threads, the threads must be longer by the pigeonhole principle.

Shit, I'm sorry! Actually, I had originally thought to post this there, but then I thought "nah, its better to start a new thread and stimulate the forum". However, I guess I can see why this isn't enough to be a whole thread.

No, I think we have only just scratched the surface.
6ch also has no dates posted, so logically that leads the average poster to the conclusion that all the threads with more than a few posts are most likely a hundred years old.

This is plausible, and if true, the difference could be exacerbated by people wanting to be a part of ancient threads.
6ch threads might permanently occupy the coolness chasm lying between fresh and vintage.

No bees, no mew, no witchcraft, and time actually passes here so everything isn't as it has always been and will always be requiring a complete rewrite of timespace to update a thread.

That is a small price to pay to avoid bees, mew, and witchcraft. A shame it doesn't also prevent horses, though.
