I'm so happy the Macbook Air came out! FINALLY after all these years I've been waiting I can buy a computer that fits in an envelope! It's a dream come true, nothing is better.
The lack of a CD drive and USB ports just makes me so much fucking cooler.

Funny, this thread looked ok on my RSS reader and the title shows up ok on the titlebar + tab bar, but it's just F8FF squares on the actual post.

Must be the Mona/MS PGothic font.

I wonder, does the monafont linked on LINKS work on iPhones?

12 Name: VIPPER : 2009-01-17 02:20 [Del]

I'm running Mac OS, but I'm not on Apple hardware! Boot-132 for the win!

I think it would, but this font only looks good at some specific sizes, and the iphone never displays things in their intended sizes at all. (I don't really care to try since installing fonts is a real pain involving sftp, caches, plists, and reboots.)

I don't need your refurbished PC running a shitty version of Unix in an off white plastic case to view this thread properly, thank you very much.

I can view it just fine on my Ubuntu powered ThinkPad R61.

You sound like an opinionated dude. Please tell me your favorite text editor so we can fight over the internet.

>>20
My favorite text editor would be gedit.

Though I don't see how you could possibly stage internet arguments through a simple text editor.

Does one's choice of text editor really matter when one doesn't have the slightest comprehension of English language grammar?

I think not.

Something that proves that Microsoft sucks so badly at making an OS that other people NEED to replace CORE FUNCTIONS? If he knows that, why wouldn't he know about Linux? It only prove his ignorance, and therefore, yours, and by extension, that of your friends and family.

Don't bring that topic, please, it hurts. I've come in possession (without my consent) of a wired and a wireless mighty mouse. The scrollball needs to be cleaned up every day (no exaggeration) (I wash my hands). And while we're at it let's not talk about my macbook battery that expanded 5mm. larger than the computer after 2 years of usage, preventing the trackpad button from registering clicks and causing ghost clicks when resting the hands on the side of the trackpad, now secured with tape to "fix" this issue.

Still an OS X fanboy. Too bad keeping Hackintosh hardware working after software updates is too much of a blind bet.

Apologies for making a serious post in a terrible thread.

This thread does not display properly on my Mac. I demand a refund.

>>33
They'll replace your battery for free if it's distended, you know, since it counts as a hardware defect. Got a new one this way several months ago.

I read that required having bought Apple Scare (my warranty is over). But might as well try my luck, yeah.

36 Name: VIPPER : 2009-11-12 11:37 [Del]

>>35
Really? I did still have it, yeah, because someone inexplicably bought it for me for Christmas, but the people at the store claimed it wasn't actually necessary for this particular issue.

37 Name: VIPPER : 2009-11-12 13:38 [Del]

>>36
It might be a country-by-country thing. We don't have any physical Apple store where a ruckus may be raised around here.

38 Name: VIPPER : 2009-11-12 14:38 [Del]

Ah, hmm. Well, it's still worth a shot.

I hope that in my lifetime I will get to use a computer where the source of all the software is available; where there is only one, intelligently made, and sensibly updated guideline for human interface, that would be strongly socially enforced on the developers; and where every videogame ever made would work without hassle.

I don't think it will happen even once the average computer has 1000YB of storage and a rechargeable battery that last for an average of two years.
