Are tomatoes fruits or vegetables? I know that technically it's a fruit, but come on, this is ridiculous. Nobody eats those for dessert.

I tried tomato ice cream once. Like most novelty flavors, doesn't really taste good. Not that it really disproves anything.

I heard that for a long time people were afraid to eat the fruit of a tomato plant, because it was related to the potato plant (or looked very similar). The fruit of a potato plant on the other hand is poisonous due to its high solanine content.
