As I suggested in the DQN ELECTRONICS VOL 2010 album thread, let's make our own VIP Quality music release!
Any contribution is welcome, so long as it is VIP Quality, and created for this project. Multiple contributions are obviously welcome too.
Once we have enough tracks, or once everyone has lost interest, and no later than in exactly four months (a deadline will keep us motivated), we will distribute by torrent and direct download.
To contribute music or artwork you can post your work in this thread, or to keep it secret until the day of release, you can send it to dqn.dqn.lol@gmail.com .
We can use this thread to discuss what to do, what title we want to use, plan collaborations, etc.

To prove that I'll be somewhat reliable, I am the guy who packaged Title, who harassed the participants to send in their tracks, and who did the worst songs on it: rest assured that unless nobody participates, something will eventually get released.

I've started working on two different songs, one is about tanasinn, and the other about SEGA (and cars); and on 4~8 ringt0nes made mostly of stolen material.
If it's ready for christmas (I'll see what you guys prefer before setting a release date), how about a big run-on title such as: "Homegrown VIPtronic records presents: COOL FREE RINGTONES ~Christmas Special Edition~"?
We could have some VIP christmas carols too.
Composing music for VIPPERs sounds interesting, I may give it a jolly good go!
I can contribute boring and mostly repetitive chiptunes that I've made in Modplug. There's a few VIP Quality ones that I've made too, but they're from when I first started with Modplug, when I actually put effort in; nothing recent, sadly.

Me and my band have decided to do a cover of the Burning Rangers theme song for this compilation. We're going to meet up on the 25th of September to record it and a bunch of other stuff.
It'll be really lo-fi though, all I've got is a Dictaphone to record it on. I hope you guys don't mind.

I actually like recording stuff on the dictaphone, but then I like lo-fi music. My friends aren't so much into it.

But it's not music, it's... well, it's an audio adventure.

Me and another vipper are planning to do something with shouting in the car whenever it is we can get a means of making a digital recording of the process.

I've completed a track! I did it in Renoise, and I was going for a DJ Sharpnel sound. It ended up pretty bass-y, but I like how it turned out. I hope it suits your VIP tastes!

Some thoughts, that lead at 1:47 is really loud in contrast to the rest of the track and the kick on the other hand should be mixed louder (mids/highs at least.)

Hey it's >>97. My hard drive started to fail the day after I posted my creation. I've been trying to salvage things off of it, but I haven't had any success. As such, I don't think I'll be able to post a revised version of my track. I'll keep trying but I doubt I'll be able to recover it before the deadline if I am able to recover it at all. You don't need to include my submission if you don't think it's up to snuff. Also, if anyone thinks they can mix my track into something more QUALITY, then please feel free.

Whatever we use, I think we shouldn't have any explicit or easily googlable reference to SAoVQ, so we won't have to avoid sharing it to protect our Quality.
I planned to edit the photo to add a few things (like a sticker advertising the BONUS RINGTONES CD LIMITED ONE TIME OFFER) and to make a tracklist in the same way as the photo, so if someone else prefers to do the cover, please decide quickly and consider providing a PSD I can edit with the final tracklist.

Same if someone wants to do cover art for COOL FREE RINGTONES (for which I have done nothing yet).
Its tracklist is RINGTONE 1, RINGTONE 2, and so on, but I don't know how many there will be yet, so it should be editable.
