Today, I had some of the best takoyaki in months. There is this place downtown here that makes big takoyaki, with huge chunks of octopus.

The sauce was made of Japanese mayonnaise and some ponzu. They drizzled it onto about eight pieces of takoyaki, then topped it off with some katsuobushi flakes. What made it VIP QUALITY was the fact that it had some negi, or green onion in it. However, this is not ordinary green onion. It comes straight from Japan and great care is taken to ensure that it has a really good flavour. I took note of this fact and asked for more green onion (negidaku). Let's just say it's really good.

Had a very nice meal. Today was one of the interns at the place I intern at's last day, so she decided to cook a big "thank you" meal. It consisted of Roti, and different types of curry. The main dish I guess you'd call it was fresh goat curry. The goat was killed yesterday. Very fresh.

Roti is a type of bread I guess. It reminded me of a quesadilla shell.

Apparently, when you eat this meal, traditionally, you don't use forks and knives. You use the Roti and scoop the different types of curry onto the bread and eat it that way.

The different kinds of curry were, potato, mango and some sort of pepper curries.

The sauce was exquisite. The moment I liked my fingers after plating my slice I new this pizza was something different. I couldn't place the flavor at first. There was a sweetness to the sauce that was alien, and utterly familiar. Savory and well spiced with a gingery, yet tart smoothness on the palate. I asked my delicious 3D waifu what she had done to craft such sublimely understated a flavor. She had pureed plums as well as tomatoes when she was making the sauce. She had read a recipe online that called for plum tomatoes and had misread it as plums, tomatoes.

I invented the story of the 3D waifu to fill the loneliness in my heart. The recipe is real though. I made the mistake a few years ago when I decided I wanted to make my own VIPizza. After I had returned from the store and realized my error I made the pizza with pureed plum in the sauce anyways. It was as good as I described. I sort of did it by dash, mixing in a little more of the puree into the simmering sauce until it was just right. The sauce was a generic marinara otherwise.

I hope this helps some VIPPERS and I am sorry I lied to you all.
