Yes and no. You see biologists like me and >>71 and >>73 are studying not only how a platypus poops, but also how the poop affects the platypus, other animals, it's habitat, other ecosystems, the world over, and ultimately us, as well as providing valuable, confirmable insight into how our OWN pooping habits evolved and thereby answering the question "how, why, and where did we come from" just a little bit more. We're also learning WHY the platypus poops and how to keep it pooping because me, >>71, and >>73 are good people who CARE about STUFF that ACTUALLY HAPPENS instead of sprouting the "well, we THINK this is what happens and that this why the universe is the way it is cause we've done THEORETICAL experiments with MATHS in our MINDS but we're not really sure and even if we're right it doesn't really change anything and right now we can't really do anything with it except for maybe improve transportation, so." stuff my friends always give me.

So enjoy your many-worlds interpretation or whatever it is you physicists sit around and think about, >>75. Me and >>73 and >>71 will be in Australia, discovering that there are too many platypus poopin' in the river and that it's poisoning the little children, the land, the other animals, and indeed the mighty platypus itself. We'll also come up with a plan to fix that and save everyone, probably discovering a way to make platypus poop boots that are a thousand times stronger, cheaper, and more durable than regular boots along the way.
