Hello again gentlemen.
The finish of the last thread was lacking in quality. I propose we lock up the responsible persons in the tanasinn chamber.
Crap, I just read the whole tablecat thread. Third time this year.
Hello, I am responsible for post number 1001 in the last thread. Please forgive my failure to channel quality into my post.

I once jokingly called my friend a "naughty girl. ;)" She stared at me strangely. I don't think she realized I was joking.

Being a sysadmin sucks.
Time to finish that shitty map I'm making for left4dead! wwww~
I have a confession.
Sometimes I forget which posts are mine and I reply to myself etc. Forgetting I was talking to myself. It is easy for me because some of these threads are years old.
>>42
I usually can pick out what's mine just based on how I write things.
I will always remember and cherish this post of mine.
Sometimes I intentionally respond to my own posts as if I were another VIPPER.
Sometimes I think I wrote posts that I actually didn't.
Sometimes I type out posts with the intention of replying to them as another VIPPER but just as I'm about to post them I become afraid that a mod or someone will know it was me replying to my own post because of my ip or something and then they'll get on irc or something and be like "hey, theres some loser replying to his own posts. not only that but looking at the way it was written and the time of the two posts it looks like the loser set his original post with the intent to self-reply" and then they'd laugh at me so then I end up deleting the post.
The post time keeps the JISAKU JIENs in check.

Indeed it is. So are most sciences about nonliving processes. You want an interesting science, take a few courses in the biological sciences: anything from genetics to microbiology to embryology... The list goes on and on.

I would like to note for everyone that I personally instructed all moderators to never look at anyone's IP for any reason other than to administer a ban. I think EVERYONE does what you describe at some time or another. So don't worry and keep replying to your own posts!

Physics is the most interesting science and it's all about nonliving processes.

I suppose it's all about what branch you're studying, and personal opinion. For example, traditional physics never held much interest for me, but quantum physics was relatively interesting, though I always preferred certain branches of biology.

Dozens of moderators are needed to keep this rowdy board in check.

Thank you for the sage advice VIPPER, but you see, I am a marine biology major, so this is a fact I learned many moons and lolis ago.
>>71
So while physicists around the world work to create a perfect view of the universe, you're studying the way a platypus poops?
Yes and no. You see biologists like me and >>71 and >>73 are studying not only how a platypus poops, but also how the poop affects the platypus, other animals, it's habitat, other ecosystems, the world over, and ultimately us, as well as providing valuable, confirmable insight into how our OWN pooping habits evolved and thereby answering the question "how, why, and where did we come from" just a little bit more. We're also learning WHY the platypus poops and how to keep it pooping because me, >>71, and >>73 are good people who CARE about STUFF that ACTUALLY HAPPENS instead of sprouting the "well, we THINK this is what happens and that this why the universe is the way it is cause we've done THEORETICAL experiments with MATHS in our MINDS but we're not really sure and even if we're right it doesn't really change anything and right now we can't really do anything with it except for maybe improve transportation, so." stuff my friends always give me.
So enjoy your many-worlds interpretation or whatever it is you physicists sit around and think about, >>75. Me and >>73 and >>71 will be in Australia, discovering that there are too many platypus poopin' in the river and that it's poisoning the little children, the land, the other animals, and indeed the mighty platypus itself. We'll also come up with a plan to fix that and save everyone, probably discovering a way to make platypus poop boots that are a thousand times stronger, cheaper, and more durable than regular boots along the way.

Man, this thread is fast.
I'm writing this from INSIDE VIDEOGAMES in the Steam browser! i'm heartily enjoying blaring shotgun blasts as I careen into a bank full of zombies while listening to VIPSTAR+.MP3! it's so fun and i can't ever see myself playing any other way.
I've been thinking about Lot's wife in that Sodom and Gomorrah story in the Bible. God says don't look back and she looks back and he turns her into a pillar of salt. Being God, he could have just given her an aneurysm or a heart attack or spontaneously combusted her or struck her with lightening or any number of various things, but he (I guess, the text just says pillar of salt) transmuted her body into a more or less equal volume of the stuff which settled into a nice pile. What does that even mean? I can't find any mention of taboo about salt in the Bible, I guess it would have been a reasonably valuable commodity used to cure meat, but I have no idea what causing someone to become a large quantity of it could possibly indicate to the Jewish person of the time. Was it just a didactic story about the arbitrary nature of God which ought to be feared?
If the "-rrhea" in diarrhea and gonorrhea is the same meaning, and the "dia-" in the first is for liquid poop, what is "gono-" for?

Think of it, too much salt can put out a fire and too much salt won't burn. Those cities were torched good. So instead of burning her like the rest, maybe the salt is supposed to represent that He wanted to spare her? Even in punishment, she was spared opposed to being burnt alive?
