That list has clearly been compiled in reverse order. The lumberjack thing goes without saying, but dairy farmer as second worst? Think about it - dairy farmers get to own HUNDREDS of cows. That is awesome.
EMTs get to ride in ambulances. Roustabouts have an super-manly name and work on oil rigs. Child care workers play with lolis all day. Firefighters are pretty much superheroes.

Find their area of nerdiness then ask them about it. Gamer nerds will not list Super Mario Bros or Call Of Duty as their favourite games, music nerds are not huge into indie pop or post-rock, comic nerds will probably not list a major character as their favourite, but if they do, they will know a hell of a lot about that character.
